The Best of British Case
As seen in The Telegraph
6 bottle case
As featured in The Telegraph and The Daily Mail, this bespoke 'Best of British' mixed case contains 6 bottles of our favourite British wines that are leading the country's wine revolution. These are our go-to wines for anyone wanting to discover what the finest UK's vineyards are producing right now.
The case contains a selection of different styles and grape varieties, so there is a wine for everyone to enjoy no matter what the occasion. We start with the bigger, established producers such as Nyetimber in Sussex, with their phenomenal sparkling wine which is recognised and appreciated across the globe, and Chapel Down in Kent, one of the biggest vineyards in the country whose brut sparkling tastes seriously good. Both are shinning examples of English Sparkling wine and must be experienced.
But it's not just about the bigger vineyards. We also champion the up and coming vineyards including Winbirri in Norfolk, producing a fuller English red that can take on any Spanish Rioja. Meanwhile, the Litmus Pinot Noir is rapidly growing in popularity. Reminiscent of a French Pinot but better in so many ways, it's velvety and smooth and brilliant with a Sunday Roast.
For our selection of whites, we've gone with our very own Number 1 produced in Essex at the UK's oldest Bacchus Vineyard. It's an easy-drinking, refreshing wine made from 100% Bacchus grape, a popular variety grown in the UK and dubbed the “UK Sauvignon Blanc”. Lastly, we have Simpsons Gravel Castle from Kent. A special award winning Chardonnay on the list. This cheeky little number ticked all our boxes. Not your typical Chardonnay, the smoothness gives it an elegant taste that will be sure to impress whoever you drink it with.
Overall this is a great introduction to British wine, and they will all surely become a permanent feature of any wine rack.
