What do they say?
Fermented in barrels, concrete egg and stainless steel with an elevage of over 12 months for the base wine. The wines produced at Ancre Hill express the Terroir of ancient mudstone and sandstone soils, giving the wines their character and natural flavours, with no external intervention or manipulation in the winemaking process.
What does the English Vine say?
This was our first Welsh wine we tried and what an introduction to it! This is sophisticated, smooth, complex and sure to impress all your friends. It really has a lot of wow factor. Yes, it is one of our more expensive sparkling wines which is the result of being a biodynamic wine but that is a feat in itself given UK weather. However the pay off is massive, not just in taste but it is also only 10% ABV (well that means you can have another glass).
In all, this is not your Monday night wine, if it is we are very impressed, but it is a wine for that more glamorous occasion or when it's time to impress (especially when you tell them it's from Wales).
