What do they say?
In 2020 the Pinot Gris grapes were particularly perfect, and ever more exciting, the Gris colour was very well developed. Alex, our winemaker, took some inspiration from one of our friends in the USA – Jolie-Laide, and macerated the grapes for three days before fermentation. After pressing the wine retained a beautiful blush which softened to a pastel blush after fermentation in an Egg-shaped fermenter and neutral oak barrel. The result is a wine with a very tropical character, peaches and mango, and a style of Pinot Gris which is very much unique in the UK.
What does the English Vine say?
To be fair, London Cru have done a great job explaining this one (and we love them for that), so all we'll add is that this is quite possibly one of the trendiest wines in the industry right now. So much so our beards actually grew as we drunk this one and we felt an overwhelming need to put a plaid shirt on....

Pet Nat is short for Pétillant Naturel - a French term that roughly translates to “naturally sparkling”.
Developed in the 16th century, this is the traditional way of making fizz, and is the result of continuous fermentation i.e. while the yeast is still consuming the grape sugars when bottled!
