A Taste of East Anglia

A Taste of East Anglia

Perfectly paired with a ploughmans.

East Anglia is fast becoming an internationally recognised wine growing region exporting wines across the globe. From an incredible white wine produced in Suffolk to delicious red wines from Norfolk (that can match any Spanish Rioja) and Essex (one that we can't stop drinking). This 3 bottle case is your chance to get a great taste of wines from East Anglia and a great place to start your journey into English wines.

This taster case is the tip of the iceberg when it come to East Anglian wines but a great place to start. We start with the region's flagship grape, Bacchus which produces a wide array of delicious white wines including the Giffords Hall Bacchus from Suffolk. If you like Sauvignon Blanc, you will love this -  full fresh aromas and punchy green fruit. Yummy we say!

East Anglia also  produces two of our favourites English Red wines. The Winbirri Signature from Norfolk is similar in style to a Spanish Rioja and one of the heavier style reds. The New Hall Pinot Noir from Essex is their latest vintage - smooth and silky with red cherry flavours. A great example of a cool climate red wine. So good we couldn’t stop drinking this one (responsibly of course).

A wonderful introduction to what is fast becoming one of England's best wine growing regions and we hope you enjoy them all.

With so many English white wines being made from Bacchus you are forgiven if you think they all taste the same, however they do not! A delicious white wine which is crisp and easy drinking, a must have in any fridge.

A Norfolk Rioja? Oh how we laughed. We were not laughing when we tasted it. This is the real deal and is indeed a bold red. It is smooth, fun, has fantastic plum fruity flavours and has that oaked Rioja finish. The perfect red with a Sunday Roast.

A great example of a cool climate red wine. So good we couldn’t stop drinking this one. One of the English Vine team remarked it would be a great first date red, although given they’ve been married now for some years, we aren't entirely sure how this conclusion was formed.
