Davenport Redmoors Pinot Noir
An Elegant English Red.
- 75CL
- ABV 12%
- SUSSEX, ENGLAND
What do they say?
This is the third vintage of our Pinot Noir from the Redmoors vineyard, planted in 2016. It is a light red wine with typical varietal aromas of the grape variety, soft balance, complex with red berry fruit and great length of flavour. A whole berry ferment with 50% whole bunches included, aged in oak for 12 months and then has a further 20 months maturing in the bottle. Only 260 bottles were made - this is one oak barrel selected from the vintage.
What does the English Vine say?
Another absolute belter from William Davenport. If it did not have the Davenport label on we would assume this was a French wine. It is so smooth and if we had one word to sum it up we would say elegant. This is one to try before it runs out.

Do you know what Pinot Noir actually translates too? Pinot refers to the pine cone-like shape of the grape bunches that is a characteristic of the variety and Noir is French for black. So Pinot Noir is French for the black pine cone grape variety.
